On the night of May 29, 1914, a thick fog muffled the sound of the ship’s bell of the Empress of Ireland. Fourteen minutes later, the icy river engulfed the ship and 1,012 of its passengers. Using architectural and ornamental elements inspired by the ship, the work composes a dreamlike symphony that commemorates the tragedy.
